Wedding Cake with Fresh Roses

This wedding cake was made for the Granddaughter of a very good friend of mine.  It was four layers, frosted in white buttercream with scroll work.  Fresh red roses were used to decorate.  What pressure there is doing wedding cakes.  I'm not a professional cake decorator; but the worst part was transporting.  Any hints and tips are very much appreciated.

  1. I have to confess that I did have a problem transporting. Even though the bottom two layers were transported separately an the top two layers individually there was an issue. I had put the fresh roses in the plastic holders and I think that was done too early and it jeopardized the integrity of the structure. Had to do some last minute fixes at the reception. What stress!
