Saw this cake in a magazine recently and was waiting for a special occasion to make it.  It is 3 layers of a brownie cake with a peanut butter filling between each layer.  Frosted in a rich dark chocolate frosting and decorated with peanut butter cups and gold sugar.  Made it for a party this past Saturday and it was a hit.   It is just too Yummy!!!

Phantom of the Opera Birthday Cake

My Son-in-law, Chad, recently turned 40 and we had a surprise birthday
party for him with a "Phantom of the Opera" theme.  Even the cupcakes had little fondant masks on them.  What fun!
Have neglected posing some of the cakes I've made....Here is one done a few months ago for a friend of my daughter.  Her little girl loves Hello Kitty!

Lauryn's Zombie Cake

Lauryn wanted a zombie birthday cake.  So....I took a photo of her and croped it to get just the face, printed it out and then took a charcoal pencil to make it "zombie looking".  I then scaned the drawing and saved it as a jpeg and had it printed out on an edible frosting sheet.  It was then put on top of a rice krispy fondant covered base to give it some dimension.  Fingers coming out of the ground were made of white chocolate and painted with food color to make them look grey. The dirt was made out of ground up gingersnaps and chocolate cookies and gummy worms were added for the final touch.

Yo Gabba Gabba

My daughter has a friend whose daughter was turning 2 years old.  This little girl loves "Yo Gabba Gabba"  which I found out was a tv show.  I had never heard of this before.  Anyway, after looking it up on the internet, I soon learned all the characters and here is the result of the Yo Gabba Gabba cake. complete with all the characters.
